Build a foundation of jiu-jitsu based self-defense knowledge, practice proven techniques in a safe environment, learn how to leverage your mind & body to your benefit, gain confidence in your ability to defend yourself, and have fun practicing the sport with friends & family!

Easy-to-learn, effective techniques for all ages, body types, and skill levels.
Each class will include a brief functional warm up followed by new self-defense & sport jiu-jitsu techniques. Each week builds on the previous weeks to build a comprehensive knowledge of jiu-jitsu standing and ground techniques.
Wear workout clothing that is easy to move in yet protects your shoulders & knees. We encourage long/capri yoga/running-style pants and either or short or long sleeve top. If you have a rash guard, you may wear that. Please remove all jewelry and piercings.
Women's Self Defense Classes are taught by Groundwork Student & Coach, Jenna Cassidy. Jenna has been practicing Jiu Jitsu for 7 years and earned her purple belt in November 2018. In addition to her certification in teaching Women's Self Defense, Jenna is a certified 500RYT Yoga Instructor, Aerial Yoga Instructor, Level 3 Ginastica Natural Instructor, and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
